      Hi janardhan,
Why do you want to leave the job? What is your plan B if you can’t make it in G-1 or G-2? So many prepare G-1/G-2 while doing job, so why don’t you go in that way? People respect you only when you achieve something but not your efforts. If you strongly believe you can make it in your first attempt do some homework going through the previous papers to understand the depth of exam.Make your first attempt without leaving job to test your confidence as you get some experience in job in the next one year.If after one year you realise that you can clear G-1 by doing full time preparation you can take leave for one/two months before mains.
Currently there is no schedule for G-1/G-2 and the expected gap between mains and interview will be 1 month and results announced usually immediately after that.Joining/Training date will be 2 to 3 months after results date.
