    June 16, 2014 at 10:10 AM

    Hi Dilip,

    Hope you’re doing good.

After the bifurcation of the state, what would be Groups recruitment for the Telangana state?. Will these be taken up by UPSC or a new commission is on the way?.

I believe you might have got some relevant info regarding this. It would be of great help if you can share your thoughts on the Groups recruitement for Telangana state?. Any probable time frame as such?.

    Thanks a lot in Advance,
    Narayan.

    • June 21, 2014 at 12:04 AM

      Hi Narayan,
We don’t yet about who will conduct the Groups exam but as of now groups recruitment is of low priority in Telangana unless some representation fom the students rise the issue before govt.State govt is already occupied about distribution of employees between two states and groups recruitment might get even murkier if new govt tries to impose any new conditions for local/non local categories.

    June 18, 2014 at 10:52 AM

sir ,iam preparing for group -1/2 exam by referring rc reddy publications .iam having a doubt that this rc reddy books will cover the enter syllabus for group -1/2 .suggest me if any books are there which will cover enter syllabus with in a short period of time.

    • June 20, 2014 at 11:56 PM

      Hi Deepika,
Why are you in a hurry to learn everything in short period? You will end up learning slowly if you are in hurry. One who is in haste and keeps his eye only on the result and not on the process gets no result.Rc reddy material and school books/current affairs are enough to clear G-1 prelims and G-2.For mains your ability to concisely express your thoughts in a clear and relevant manner is required than the material we read from books.Your input is far more important than coaching material in mains and interview.

    June 20, 2014 at 1:32 PM

    Hello Dilip,

I am working as a software engineer with good takehome salary. I would like to prepare for APPSC Group 2 to become Deputy Thasildar. Now I am 29 years old. Is it a good decision to change my career path? Please suggest me.

    • June 20, 2014 at 11:21 PM

      Hi Suresh,
Civils/groups careers attract people with a specific personality, those who enjoy interacting with people and solving their problems. If you are aspiring for DT position you should be prepared to work in rural areas for most of your career, your pay may not be as you are getting now, if you are OC your promotions may take very long to move up in your career than your colleauges. You got some advantages….permanent job, good contacts with people in power etc…Does it still interest you ? Then you can make a sincere attempt, but don’t resign your present job for preparing these exams.
